Sailing yacht cruising past the outlying islands of Hong Kong with the city skyline beyond

Hong Kong SAR

Hong Kong

Two hundred islands, year-round racing and a skyline thirty minutes from open water.

The cruising ground

Hong Kong is our home port. Behind the skyline lies a genuine cruising ground: sheltered bays in the Sai Kung peninsula, the outlying islands to the south-west and one of Asia's strongest racing calendars. It is also the best place in the region to see a yacht, meet a broker and get work done quickly.

Highlights

Sai Kung & the Geopark

Hexagonal rock columns, quiet bays and the best swimming water in the territory.

Lamma and Cheung Chau

Short hops from Central for lunch ashore and an easy first day aboard.

Port Shelter

The heart of the local racing scene and a protected base for guest days.

Mirs Bay

Longer-range anchorages for owners who want distance from the city.

Practical notes

  • Pleasure vessel licensing and local crewing requirements apply to Hong Kong-registered yachts.
  • Typhoon planning and secure berthing arrangements are essential for summer residency.
  • Passage to Macau, the Pearl River Delta and Sanya is straightforward with advance clearance.
