Asia Yacht Services
← All articlesThe Asian brokerage market has settled into a steadier rhythm. Where the post-pandemic years saw yachts sell quickly and often above expectation, today's buyers are more deliberate, better informed and far more willing to walk away from a price that cannot be justified against comparable sales.
Demand is strongest in the 24–40 metre range. These yachts are big enough for regional cruising in Thailand and Indonesia, small enough to run without a large permanent crew, and they attract both first-time owners in Hong Kong and Singapore and experienced owners trading up.
Above 50 metres the picture is different. Fewer buyers, longer marketing periods and a widening gap between asking and achieved prices. Owners who set expectations against recent verified transactions — rather than against the highest asking price in the peer group — are the ones concluding deals.
Our advice to sellers has not changed: price to the evidence, present the yacht properly, and be ready with condition and refit documentation before the first enquiry arrives.
