Cruising permits and clearance in Indonesian waters

Indonesia is the most rewarding cruising ground in Southeast Asia and the most administratively demanding. Foreign-flagged yachts require a cruising permit and must clear in and out at designated ports, and the lead times are measured in weeks.

Charter is the area where owners most often run into difficulty. Commercial charter of a foreign-flagged yacht in Indonesian waters is restricted, and arrangements need to be structured properly rather than improvised on arrival.

Practical planning matters just as much. Fuel, spares and technical support thin out quickly east of Bali, and national park fees and ranger arrangements apply throughout Komodo and Raja Ampat.

We coordinate permits, agents and itinerary planning for owners and charter clients across the region. The earlier the conversation starts, the more of the season you keep.
