Asia Yacht Services
← All articlesHong Kong is one of the easiest places in Asia to own a yacht and one of the hardest places to find a berth. We tell every first-time buyer the same thing: understand the berthing position before you commit to a hull.
Beyond berthing, the practical questions are licensing, local crewing requirements, typhoon-season arrangements and a realistic annual running budget including survey, insurance, maintenance and crew.
A good purchase process runs in a clear order: define how you will actually use the yacht, shortlist against that use, survey properly, and negotiate on evidence. Nothing about that changes with the size of the yacht.
